Ash in stitches!

This week the children have been learning about how fabrics are joined together to make clothes. We discussed how using glue, sellotape or staples would not be a good idea as they would not keep the pieces together well and staples would hurt. The children looked at stitching on their clothing and watched a video showing us what a basic running stich was. We then used various threading equipment to practice our running stich. It was not as easy as it looked on the video, but the children were getting better the more they practiced. Look at how well we are progressing.
