Year 1 Spellings Autumn 2

In Year 1, we will be continuing to learn new Phase 5 sounds including spilt digraphs! Please continue to practise new and learned sounds with your child at home alongside the weekly spellings to practise. Home learning sheets are available below next to the weekly spellings for you to see what sounds we have been learning in class each week and to talk about with your child at home.

In Year 2, children will be moving on to the ‘Bridge to spelling’ programme which builds on their knowledge of phonics from Year 1 and teaches them to spell with confidence! Home learning sheets from Year 1 will still support the children with building on what they have already learnt and with practising tricky words so please still use these at home alongside their weekly spellings.
