Hornbeam

Welcome to the Hornbeam class page!

We hope you had a restful summer break and are ready for an exciting year of learning adventures ahead!

Our first topic focuses on the world’s last great wilderness: Antarctica. We will be reading Shackleton’s Journey and using Ernest’s Shackleton’s inspirational and perilous expedition to inspire our writing in English.

Our PE days Mondays and Wednesdays. Please ensure children come to school dressed in their PE kit.
This includes black tracksuit, white t-shirt and trainers.

Click on this link to find our more about our learning for the next six weeks.

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our webpage as we will upload photographs regularly to showcase the fabulous learning happening in class and our Stars of the Week.

Thank you, Mr Sawyer and the Hornbeam team.
