Christmas Cakes

This week, the children in Reception made Christmas cakes. They all helped to mix the butter and sugar, then carefully folded in the flour and eggs. Next, they added a few cherries and some mincemeat for the fruit. The cakes looked and smelled delicious as they baked. Once they had cooled, the children rolled out fondant icing and decorated the tops of their cakes.
