Diwali

In preparation for our new topic on celebrations, we focused on the celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights. Children learnt the Hindu story of Rama and Sita and how good overcame evil. They were shown how many Hindu families get ready for this colourful celebration. We invited our families to come and join in with a Diwali craft morning. Children enjoyed dressing up, making diva lamps, writing cards and creating rangoli patterns.
