Warwick Castle

On Tuesday KS1 took a trip to Warwick Castle to bring to life the learning we have been doing in our History lessons. We met a knight and talked about how to defend and attack a castle; looked around the great hall and the original mot & bailey mound, and learnt how the Earl of Warwick ran the castle in the days of fighting fierce battles to be the king! We also took our lunch by the river and watched the most amazing birds of prey show, learning about how they were used to help with hunting when the castle was in use.
