Welcome to the Hawthorn Class Page

We hope you had a relaxing summer break and are ready for an exciting year of learning adventures ahead!

Our first topic focuses on the world’s last great wilderness: Antarctica. We will be reading Shackleton’s Journey and using Ernest’s Shackleton’s inspirational and perilous expedition to inspire our writing in English.

Our PE days Wednesday and Thursdays. Please ensure children come to school dressed in their PE kit.
This includes black tracksuit, white t-shirt and trainers.

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!
